When shopping for new floors, you'll find so many options that it can seem overwhelming. Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Can I have carpeting if I have allergies?

Yes. Technology has enabled mills to create hypoallergenic versions. Some of them, such as wool carpets, have inherent hypoallergenic properties that absorb pollutants.

Nylon is one of the best carpets for those with allergies. It resists moisture, dirt, mold, and mildew and comes in a large assortment of colors, designs, and styles.

Make sure you tell the professionals at the flooring store about any specific needs.
By the way, nylon fibers are also ultra-durable with good stain resistance. As a result, it's ideal for active homes with kids and pets.

What are WPC and SPC?

These initials mean wood plastic composite and stone plastic composite. They are two technologically cores that are used in waterproof flooring.

These cores are highly durable; they are graded for commercial use. They also offer the highest level of moisture protection, never peeling or rippling.

What’s the difference between solid and engineered wood floors?

Only construction! Both look similar, but engineered is more stable and can handle water better.

While solid is one thickness throughout, engineered is layered. The result is a wood floor that can be installed in higher-than-normal moisture areas, such as basements, where solid isn't recommended.
